Ariadaeus (crater). Ariadaeus is a small, bowl-shaped lunar impact crater on the western shores of Mare Tranquillitatis. It lies to the north of Dionysius crater, and to the west-southwest of Arago crater. The crater is joined along the northeast rim by the slightly smaller 'Ariadaeus A', and the two form a double-crater. [WP]

Backlund (crater). Backlund is a worn lunar crater that lies on the far side of the Moon, beyond the eastern limb. It lies astride the southern rim of the Pasteur walled-plain, to the west of Hilbert crater. Further to the west-southwest is the Sklodowska crater. The north and south ends of the Backlund crater are more worn and eroded than the intervening stretches. The interior floor is relatively flat, with the usual accompaniment of tiny impact craters marking the surface. [WP]

Bass river, Victoria. The Bass river is a relatively short coastal river located in the Bass Coast Shire of Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. The river headwaters are in the Strzelecki Ranges, north of the town of Korumburra, flowing west, then west-southwest before entering Western Port, near the town of Bass. [WP]

Bay Mills Indian Community. The Bay Mills Indian Community (BMIC) is an Indian reservation forming the land base of the Sault Ste. Marie band of Chippewas. It is located in Chippewa County, Michigan approximately 15 miles (25 km) west-southwest of Sault Ste. Marie, mostly within Bay Mills Township. [WP]

Billy (crater). Billy is a lunar crater that is located at the southern fringes of the Oceanus Procellarum, in the western portion of the Moon. It lies to the southeast of the similar-sized Hansteen crater, and west-southwest of the flooded Letronne crater. [WP]

Bobone (crater). Bobone is an old, heavily-eroded crater formation that lies on the far side of the Moon. Little remains of the original crater formation, leaving only a bowl-shaped depression in the surface that is pock-marked by tiny craterlets. It is attached to the southwest rim of the large satellite crater 'Kovalevskaya Q', which has its northeast rim overlaid by Kovalevskaya crater. To the west-southwest is the Bronk crater. [WP]

Bouguer (lunar crater). Bouguer is a lunar impact crater that lies along the southern edge of the Mare Frigoris lunar mare, to the north of Bianchini crater. To the west-southwest of Bougeur, along the same shore of the mare, is the Foucault crater. Nearly due west is the more prominent Harpalus crater, and to the west is La Condamine crater. [WP]

Bridgman (crater). Bridgman is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies in the northern hemisphere, to the northwest of Kurchatov crater. To the west-southwest is the old Becquerel crater formation, and eastward is Pawsey and Wiener craters. [WP]

Carnot (crater). Carnot is a large crater in the northern part of the Moon's far side. It intrudes into the southern rim of the huge Birkhoff walled plain. To the west-southwest of Carnot is the Paraskevopoulos crater. [WP]

Cayman Trough. Cayman Trough, or Cayman Trench, also called Bartlett Deep, or Bartlett Trough, is a spreading ridge on the floor of the western Caribbean Sea between Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. It extends from the Windward Passage at the southeastern tip of Cuba toward Guatemala. The relatively narrow trough trends east-northeast to west-southwest and has a maximum depth of 25,216 feet (7,686 m), the deepest point in the Caribbean Sea. The trough appears to be a slowly spreading ridge which may be the result of an offset or gap of approximately 420 km along the transform fault that runs through the area. [WP]

Chrétien (crater). Chrétien is a lunar crater that is located in the southern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon from the Earth. It lies due south of the Mare Ingenii, one of the few lunar mares on the far side. The crater lies in the mid-point between the Garavito crater to the west-southwest and Oresme crater to the east-northeast, with both these craters being somewhat smaller than Chrétien. [WP]

Cleostratus (crater). Cleostratus is a lunar crater near the northwest limb of the Moon. It lies to the northeast of Xenophanes crater, and west-southwest of the prominent Pythagoras crater. From the Earth this crater appears highly elongated due to foreshortening. [WP]

Cooper (crater). Cooper is a lunar crater that is located in the northern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the east of the large D'Alembert walled plain, and west-southwest of Chappell crater. [WP]

Coulomb (crater). Coulomb is a lunar impact crater that lies behind the northwestern limb, on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the west-southwest of the large Poczobutt crater, and northeast of Sarton crater. [WP]

Crevasse Valley Glacier. Crevasse Valley Glacier (76°46'S"145 30°W') is a broad glacier about 30 miles long, flowing west-southwest between Chester Mountains and Saunders Mountain to Sulzberger Ice Shelf in Marie Byrd Land. It was discovered by a sledging party of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, which visited this area in November-December 1934, and so named because of its extensively crevassed surface. [WP]

Daubrée (crater). Daubrée is a lunar crater that is located to the southwest of the Mare Serenitatis, just to the west-southwest of Menelaus crater in the Montes Haemus range. The small lunar mare Lacus Hiemalis lies along the southwest rim of Daubrée. [WP]

Drude (crater). Drude is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon, in the rugged Montes Cordillera range that forms the outer ring around the Mare Orientale impact basin. It is located just behind the west-southwest limb, and this area is sometimes brought into sight of the Earth during favorable librations. However, even at such times, the crater is viewed from the edge and little detail can be seen. [WP]

Dunér (crater). Dunér is an old lunar crater that is located in the northern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the southeast of Chernyshev crater, and west-southwest of Perkin-Debye crater pair. [WP]

Erro (crater). Erro is a lunar crater that lies beyond the eastern limb of the Moon, on the far side as seen from the Earth. It lies along the eastern fringes of the uneven plain that joins Mare Marginis to the northwest with Mare Smythii to the west-southwest. This part of the surface is sometimes brought into sight of observers on the Earth due to libration. However even at such times not much detail can be seen, as the surface is viewed from the edge. [WP]

Esclangon (crater). Esclangon is a lunar crater that is located in the rugged terrain to the northwest of the prominent Macrobius crater, and east of Sinus Amoris. Just to the west-southwest is Hill crater. Lacus Bonitatis, the "Lake of Good", is located to the east and northeast of Esclangon. [WP]
